Letter 'A' appearing all over saved web page
Hi,
Once I've saved following web page into Surfulater http://tinyurl.com/2g64cy3 I'm seeing letter 'A' appearing all over saved page.
I'm running Surfulater 3.30, Firefox 3.6.8 on Windows 7 x64 laptop.
Has anyone else come across this issue?
Thanks, Shazad

Hi Shazad,
I am able to reproduce this in both FF and IE. Looks a lot like a problem with Surfulater not liking some specific content on this page. I'll look into it asap.
I am in the process of wrapping up the next release which will be out in the next day or so. This should be addressed in the one after that.

Hi Shazad,
I thought I would work out what is causing this and see if I could include a quick fix into the forthcoming release. I now know what the issue is, however I am concerned that a quick fix could cause problems with other pages, so I'm not pushing ahead right now.

Hi Neville,
Understand what your trying to say. This isn't big issue for me and something I can work around. Happy to wait for fix in future release.

Hi Shazad,
Can you please e-mail me a copy of that e-mail. My reply above should have included the additional "fix" text and it hasn't. I don't have a copy and need to try and work out why the text went missing.
Thanks, Neville

Thanks Shazad, got it. There is a problem with the software running this support center which causes text that includes the vertical pipe character to be lost. I have reported this to the developers previously and they thought they had fixed it, but that clearly isn't the case. I've just reported it again and hope they will fix it quickly and properly this time.

I've added this Knowledge Base article to show the solution.
The vertical pipe character issue is yet to be fixed!
